Since its inception over 2,000 years ago, the Church has been a catalyst for innovation. From education to science to the arts, the Church has consistently reflected the creativity of its Creator. Despite modern narratives, she has never been merely an institution. She is the Bride of Christ.

And she deserves to be served that way.

For more than a decade, I had the privilege of helping build one of the most influential giving platforms in the Church space. I joined in 2013 when mobile giving was still novel. Over the next 11 years, I helped lead payments infrastructure and merchant services, working alongside pastors and finance teams to bring scalable, secure, mobile-first generosity to life.

That season shaped me. It deepened my conviction that financial infrastructure is not just operational, it is missional. When COVID-19 shut down in-person services, digital giving became the bridge that sustained thousands of churches. I witnessed firsthand how the right technology can protect ministry continuity and fuel kingdom impact.

But over time, I sensed my calling evolving.

I found myself increasingly drawn to a question:

What does the next generation of generosity technology need to look like if it is fully aligned with the local Church?

Not just faster.

Not just bigger.

But more faithful.

In that season of discernment, a mutual friend introduced me to Vance Roush, CEO and Founder of Overflow.
