Looking Forward to 2022
Vance Roush, Overflow's Founder & CEO, is excited about the year ahead.
Less than two years ago, I founded Overflow. I believed then, as I do now, that there is an opportunity to unlock unprecedented amounts of generosity through non-cash assets.
I want to thank each and every one of our customers, investors and partners. You’re the reason we show up every day. You’re the reason we do what we do. You inspire us, encourage us and give us purpose.
It’s because of you that we’ve helped more than 200 nonprofits raise over $11.5M. While that’s incredible, it’s only just beginning. There is over $40T in the US public markets, and we won’t stop until we unlock as much philanthropic value as possible!
Nonprofits are the backbone of our communities— working at the macro and micro levels, meeting critical needs, partnering across sectors to support themselves and engage in philanthropy. We are grateful for all that you do, and are committed to supporting you with new ways to unlock more generosity!
Perhaps the biggest highlight for me this year is seeing the Flow Fam grow, from six people to more than thirty people and counting! While we’ve largely worked virtually, we’ve had the opportunity to come together as a team to collaborate and have some fun. It’s in these moments, we’re reminded of the importance of human connection. I look forward to more time together in the new year.
In addition to their dedication to work, Overflow employees are passionate about giving their time, talent and money to causes they care about. It’s part of our culture and how we live our mission.
Through the Overflow Generosity Fund, we’re donating 10% of our annual revenue to charity. This year, employees chose organizations including Bay Area SCORES, ColorStack, Connecticut Humane Society, Help.Online, Meals on Wheels SF, The Trauma Project, and Whatcom Land Trust to give to.
On behalf of all of us at Overflow, I wish you a happy, healthy and successful 2022!
